Dr. L. Keith Nix is the president and founder of The Lift Christian Academy. He is also the co-senior founding pastor, with his wife, Margie, of The Lift Church International. Dr. Nix has a vast and varied resume in both ministry and educational experience. He holds his Doctorate of Christian Leadership and serves as Chaplain of The Lift Christian Academy. He has a rich background of business and ministry leadership training as both a student and teacher. His heart is to see the students of The Lift Christian Academy excel and mature academically and spiritually, and be trained in ministry leadership with a spirit of excellence.
Our principal, Kayla McBrayer, comes to us with over a decade of public school experience and almost 18 years of Christian ministry and education experience. She holds her Ed.S (pre-doctorate) as a licensed principal. Her resume is vast and impressive, but most important to TLCA, she has a true heart to disciple upcoming generations from the Biblical worldview. With her educational experience, and her academic knowledge, along with her leadership skills and compassionate heart for this generation, we believe she is the best fit for our academy. She serves as our principal, upper grades teacher, and in administration.
Pam Fultz comes to us with 23 years of medical experience, with 19 of those as a licensed nurse, specializing in pediatrics. She is very close to obtaining her Early Childhood Education Degree. Having worked with children for over 17 years in professional settings, and serving in children’s ministry for years, she understands not only the physiological, spiritual and emotional needs of children, but she has a desire to help them grow and learn academically from a Biblical worldview. Pam serves as our school nurse, an administrative assistant, and lower grades classroom facilitator.
Kalinda Waldrup, our 1st-3rd grade teacher, comes to us with nine years public school experience in Texas. She has a teaching certificate and has a heart for the next generation. She teaches and cares for our students with great love and compassion. Her desire is to see students excel emotionally, mentally and academically while in her care.
Carla Coggins comes to us with 20 years of Christian ministry experience, much of which consists of children’s ministry in both teaching and administrative roles. She holds her Bachelors Degree in Biblical Studies. She has a genuine heart to see all generations discipled and guided by Biblical truths. Carla also has a deep conviction and love for academics and solid, sound education. She serves as an administrative assistant and upper grades classroom facilitator.
“Mr. Jody” Garnace is our Security Guard.
Not only is Mr. Jody compassionate, caring, and loves God and people, he is a black belt in Karate and has experience as a night security guard at a manufacturing plant in NC. He’s working on further development and education to obtain additonal safety certifications. He will conduct regular rounds of the hallways and outside grounds, be available should teachers need safety assistance, aid in recess and field trip safety, and help maintain a secure, overall, atmosphere.
Parents and students will see him at drop-off and pick-up, Monday – Wednesday, keeping an eye on the line and grounds.
